Norröna unstad 5.5/5/4 Hooded Wetsuit Caviar
Our warmest wetsuit made for cold water surfing. This 5.5/5/4mm hooded wetsuit is made with natural rubber specifically developed for arctic surfing. It is also suitable for windsurfing and wakeboarding. The high-quality primary material is a neoprene-free 85% Yulex® natural rubber/15% synthetic rubber which meets our rigorous standards for performance, durability, warmth, and sustainability. This natural rubber is derived from sources that are Forest Stewardship Council® certified by the Rainforest Alliance, and the synthetic rubber is chlorine-free. The torso/thighs/hood of the wetsuit are made with solution-dyed 95% Polyester (51% recycled)/5% Spandex inverted microgrid thermal lining that minimizes drying time and offers excellent flexibility. The lining in the arms/legs is made with a solution-dyed, high-stretch 100% recycled Polyester jersey which improves flexibility and dry time; solution-dyed exterior face fabric made with 85% recycled Polyester/15% Spandex is durable, stretchy, and water-resistant. Lining and face fabric laminated with solvent-free AquaA™ glue. The wetsuit is mainly made in a 5,5 mm quality to ensure optimal flexibility while maintaining the required insulation properties. Natural rubber-based foam has around 20% less stretch than advanced petroleum-based foams perfect for Arctic temperatures. This innovational wetsuit has called for new creativity with cutlines, paneling, and fabrics to ensure maximum performance. Key features include: An optimized hood with a comfy and good fit, fused cut sleeve ends for better quality over time, grip seal inside cuffs and bottom legs for better friction between skin and wetsuit, improved neck opening for easier entering/exit, and raglan sleeves to ensure maximum mobility when paddling. We worked with a wide range of surfers in the cold waters of Norway, all with different body types and needs to optimize the fit of the suit. The result is a technical and body-hugging fit with excellent mobility.
